About Bach & Godofsky

In 1995, a single specialty clinic focusing on infectious diseases was established by Dr. Michael Bach and Dr. Eliot Godofsky. This was named Bach & Godofsky Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Bach, a pioneer for HIV/AIDS treatment and Dr. Eliot Godofsky, a pioneer in Hepatitis C research and treatment grew the business quickly into a multi-physician practice serving as the sole infectious disease provider for all of Manatee County. In 2009, Dr. James Demaio took over ownership of the practice and continues the exceptional vision of both Dr. Godofsky and Dr. Bach who passed away in 1998.
